About Endoscopic Browlifts

Cosmetic surgery used to be something thought about only once the aging process had taken hold. Today, with the minimally invasive surgical techniques available, this procedure is performed on patients mid-thirties and up for early correction and rejuvenation. Endoscopic browlifting is considered the “upper facelift”.

Is a Browlift Right for Me?

Due to facial expressions and hereditary features, significant wrinkles and frown lines may appear in the forehead or brow area. This procedure is performed by Dr. Antoniak to correct drooping brows and elevate the brow line to a more youthful position.

Alone, or in combination, any of the following conditions may indicate that you are a good candidate for a browlift:

  • Heavy or sagging brow with or without excess upper eyelid hooding, creating a sad or tired appearance
  • Vertical furrows or strong frown lines between the eyebrows, a horizontal line across the top of the nose
  • Deep, lined creases across the forehead.

About the Browlift Procedure

Endobrow surgery may be done in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures such as eyelid surgery or a facelift to achieve a more harmonious appearance. With this minimally invasive, state-of-the-art technique, the doctor places a series of 3 to 5 half-inch incisions in the hair-bearing scalp. Using an endoscope, a thin tube with a light attached to a camera, the doctor can then visualize the muscles under the skin and modify their position using tiny dissolvable screws. Because the incisions are in the hairline, this is one of the most discrete surgeries. The results are a tightening of the soft tissues of the forehead and a reversal of aging to restore a more youthful contour of the upper face. With minimal downtime, look refreshed and younger in less than 2 weeks! This surgery can be performed in our fully accredited private Surgicentre or in combination with other surgeries at the Riverside Hospital.
